Every year we get a few requests for supersized buffalo. Most buffalo tanners, us included, avoid tanning these super large older bulls because they are an insane amount of work. But they are awesome. So this year we decided to do a number of these. They are heavy for a bed spread, but gorgeous in front of a fireplace or couch. Available on a first come first serve basis, and once they are gone, they are gone until next year.
Like our other sizes, these prime traditionally tanned buffalo hides with plush winter wool make a stunning and comfortable addition to your home or lodge. Great for rugs, bedspreads, couch throws or just to wrap up in — as the Plains Indians have always done whenever the cold north winds blow. Purchasing bison products also encourages the raising and continued renaissance of this majestic animal.
Our buffalo robes are tanned with wood-smoke and natural oils from winter killed bison with prime hair. Our natural woodsmoke tanning keeps the bugs out of your hide without insecticides. They are (amazingly) as cheap or cheaper than their chemically tanned counterparts.
