Description
All of these leather items were used by Indians and fur traders. The Gage d’Mor and Strike-a-lite were introduced by French traders and were quickly adopted by Indians; the other items were introduced to the Europeans by Native Americans. Many times the decorations that were displayed on these items were used to show status or clan and tribal differences are usually noted by the adornment.
Includes: Pipe Bag, Small Pouch, Belt Pouch, Possibles Bag, Strike-A-Light, and Gage D’Mor
